This policy covers this website: information about the meetup series, the event registration form and the newsletter. Registrations, tickets, attendee profiles and the interactive features used at our events (such as live questions) are managed by our event app at attenda.staging.appliedaibudapest.hu, which has its own privacy notice.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter: email address and your consent record, to send the Applied AI Budapest newsletter. The legal basis is your consent.
- Event registration form: the details you enter on our registration page (name, occupation or role, business email, optional telephone number, your optional answer about AI, your matchmaking choice and your consent) are sent by your browser directly to the event app, which stores and manages your registration under its privacy notice. This website does not receive or keep them.
- Questions for the FAQ: on the home page you can send us a question, with an optional name. Your browser sends it directly to our event app. Organisers read it and may publish it with an answer in the FAQ; your name is never published. To help us answer, the question text (without your name) may be sent to an AI service through OpenRouter to draft an answer, which an organiser checks before anything is published. Unpublished questions are deleted when no longer needed, at the latest after 12 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering visitors' questions.
- Security: limited technical information, including a pseudonymised IP-address hash for up to 24 hours, to prevent abusive form submissions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in site security.
Recipients
MailerLite. We use MailerLite as a processor for newsletter subscribers. MailerLite receives the email address provided for the newsletter. MailerLite processes this information on our instructions under its Data Processing Addendum.
Event app. Registrations sent through our form go to our event app, as described above. The home page and the registration page also load upcoming events and the number of free seats from the event app; those requests do not include personal data.
Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
Hosting. Our website hosting provider hosts this site and its records.
We do not sell personal data.
Retention
- Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- The pseudonymised IP-address hashes used against form abuse are removed after 24 hours.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. To make any other request, email us at [email protected] or write to RANT Invest Kft. at the address above. You may also complain to the Hungarian data-protection supervisory authority, the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

Our cookie use is described in the Cookie Policy. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we will update that policy before introducing any.
